Holiday homes that pay the rent! 3rd September 2008
Owners of overseas homes with Club La Costa easily make their holiday property work for them... unlike 80 per cent of their compatriots!
It's a WIN-WIN deal!
Paul Smith, Director of CLC Estates
The British Office of National Statistics reveals that a mere 20 per cent of the known 850,000 Brits who own abroad currently rent it out.
Which means when not using the properties themselves, the vast majority are letting their homes lie idle most of the time. Not only that, but they continue to incur maintenance costs, local taxes have to be paid and then there are security issues.
As we all tighten belts in the face of the credit crunch, this failure to rent out represents enormous potential waste and loss of revenue. But finding renters in a competitive market can be difficult.
However, Club La Costa members who have bought property through its real estate arm, CLC Estates, have every reason to smile. Not only do they get plenty of use for holidays, but a generous leaseback deal means a guaranteed income.
Additionally, Club La Costa properties are sited on resorts with well maintained and extensive facilities, landscaped gardens and 24-hour security.
Club La Costa, with 50,000 plus members, needs accommodation and can return rental incomes to cover mortgage repayments by offering 1 per cent above the Euribor rate.

"It really is a win-win deal," said CLC Estates' director Paul Smith. "Club La Costa, with its huge marketing operation and 50,000 plus members, needs accommodation and can return rental incomes to cover mortgage repayments by offering 1 per cent above the Euribor rate.
"Yet the owner can have up to six months, or more, of the year for family holidays and to rent out privately, should he choose."
Even in the current economic climate, the Sold Out sign is still going up on new Club La Costa developments in Spain and Turkey as opportunities are snapped up. Club La Costa members can even trade in their holiday Points ownership against a property.
Travel analyst Mintel, reports that around 25 per cent of all overseas holidays are now taken in private holiday homes, reflecting the British passion for property.
Currently arousing interest are Club La Costa's beachfront Adonis apartments in south west Turkey, starting from as little as £95,000, and a private development, Rancho Santa Fe, of 30 exceptional townhouses on Spain's Costa del Sol, from £425,000.
The luxurious but affordable Adonis Private Residences & Club, with its private beach, lush gardens and wealth of amenities, including two swimming pools, one of which is heated and indoor, mini golf, a fitness centre, beauty spa, restaurants, bars and cafes, lies north of Bodrum in an idyllic location.
Rancho Santa Fe is a gated, eco-friendly and boutique-style development of 30 two and three bedroom modern townhouses, set within a larger complex of bars, restaurants, shops, swimming pools and other amenities, each having spacious private terraces and gardens. Eco features include solar panels and a unique underground airflow system which keeps circulated air cool in summer and warm in winter.
"Our members know the quality they can expect from Club La Costa and are not disappointed. Everything, from the modern interior design to build quality, and luxurious features, which can include own splash pools, Jacuzzis on terraces, water features including infinity pools and waterfalls, make these homes extremely desirable."
