More low cost flights for Tenerife!
Club La Costa Travel is delighted with the news that low–cost carriers Aer Lingus and Jet2.com have announced new flights to Tenerife, a favourite destination for their clients.
This year some 18,000 members of Club La Costa Resorts & Hotels, which operates four resorts on the island, will have made it their holiday choice, many of them returning visitors.
Their presence reflects the continuing popularity of the island of eternal sunshine, with Irish airline Aer Lingus launching new flights this autumn from London–Gatwick four times a week and thrice weekly from Belfast.
With increasing numbers of Irish visitors, Jet2.com, a rival low cost carrier, has opened a new route from Belfast, to its existing connections from the UK cities of Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle. From May 2010, it will also begin weekly flights out of East Midlands.
"We search live flights for our members to ensure they get the best deal on the day, so the widening of choice with more flights from low cost operators is very good news," said Julie Fenlon, Group Travel Manager, Club La Costa Travel.
British tourists are Tenerife's most loyal holidaymakers with almost 80 per cent being repeat visitors. Their average age is late 40s and they usually travel in couples. With its theme parks and natural attractions, it is also a favoured family destination.
